HCCT Announces 2011-2012 Season, Elects Three Board Members
At its annual membership meeting this week, the Hill Country Community Theatre Board of Governors announced its 2011-12 season lineup and elected three members to the board.
Returning to the board for second terms are Horseshoe Bay resident Maris Lynne Long, who is serving as president, and Marble Falls resident Mary Ann Fletcher, the theatre's vice president in charge of productions. Horseshoe Bay area resident Rick Mann is also joining the board. All three will serve three-year terms.
The 2011-12 season will open with the Broadway and movie hit thriller Wait Until Dark, set to run September 22 - October 2. The rest of the season lineup features four comedies, Southern Hospitality, December 1 - 11; Funny You Don't Look Like a Grandmother, February 15 - 26, 2012; Don't Drink the Water, April 26 - May 6, 2012; and the summer musical Into the Woods, July 19 - 29, 2012.
At the meeting, the board also kicked off its 2011-12 membership drive and announced no change in membership and ticket prices for the new season. Information on purchasing 2011-2012 HCCT patron memberships and season tickets is available through the HCCT box office, 830-798-8944.
Currently operating on an all-volunteer basis, Hill Country Community Theatre is one of the oldest continuously operating community theatres in Texas. During its 25-year history, its productions have drawn audiences totaling more than 100,000. Some 5,000 volunteers from surrounding communities have given their time and support to HCCT's operations, from management to acting to all aspects of backstage and onstage production.
