ROLES: 7 women various ages all over age 18; 2 men both over 30

SYNOPSIS: The worst dust storm in a decade is about to hit the town¸ and all the men have gone to drive the horses and cattle to safer shelter to ride out the dust, leaving the women of the town to fend for themselves in the only building strong enough to withstand the pounding sand – the town brothel. So, four ‘ladies of the night’ and three ‘ladies of the…ah…day’ are thrown together along with a mysterious cowboy who rides out of the wind. For the next 72 hours our heroes confront the elements, each other, and hardest of all – themselves. It’s a comic romp that gives a healthy wink to the days of Gene Autry and Roy Rogers. There’s lots of slamming doors, mistaken identities, and one very dead body. No one is exactly what they seem, and everyone’s got a secret hidden up their sleeve.

Determined by the quality of the auditions, the director will cast the best choice for each role after everyone has had an opportunity to audition
