This weekend, drama students from Faith Academy of Marble Falls and Hill Country Community Theatre’s coop program will present The Christmas Party, a holiday musical production written by program teacher and coordinator Michelle Jett.
Performances will take place at the Hill Country Community Theatre, 2003 W. FM 2147 in Cottonwood Shores, at 7 p.m. both Friday, December 3, and Saturday, December 4, and at 2:15 p.m. Sunday, December 5. Tickets can be purchased by calling the theatre at 830-798-8944. Ticket prices are $5 for adults and $3 for children and students.
The Christmas Party tells the story of eleven children who are having a very special party to celebrate the Christmas season. Each child was asked to bring a gift that has a special “Christmas” meaning to it. The children unwrap their presents and share what Christmas means to them. And, they learn some heart-warming things along the way. This party is also a “karaoke party” and the kids sing many traditional and some not-so-traditional Christmas carols. Audience members will enjoy songs such as “Deck the Halls,” “Away in a Manger,” and “Silent Night” as well as “Lil’ Saint Nick,” and “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas.”
>All actors are students of Faith Academy of Marble Falls. First and second graders include: Michaela Adcox, Malachi Blackington, Mindi Moran, and Dylan Offutt. The fourth graders are Paris Brinkley, Cacey Cozby, Katie Kingston, and Colby Offutt. Kassidie Jamar, Anna Klick, and Kiley Magerkurth are 5th graders in the production.
