AUDITION NOTICE
Ghosts in the Afternoon at the Overtime Theater
November 17 and 18
Written by Bernard J. Taylor, Directed by Matthew Byron Cassi
To kick off its 2012 season, the Overtime Theater in San Antonio presents a new melodrama, Ghosts in the Afternoon. Ross Everett, an introverted and burned-out writer, ends a hollow relationship with a married woman at the same time he rents a room in his New York apartment to Rachel, an extravert Texan. He is torn between his attraction to her, his self-consciousness, and his fear of involvement. Complicating the situation is the fact that he is haunted by the ghost of his youth and the specter of a diminished old age.
