Audfitions for A Chorus Line at the Georgetown Palace Theatre, June 9



Georgetown Palace Theatre TXThe Georgetown Palace Theatre announcing Auditions for A Chorus Line by Marvin Hamlisch, Edward Kleban, James Kirkwood, and Nicholas Dante on Saturday, June 9th, from 10-2pm at the Palace, 810 S. Austin Ave in Georgetown. (click for map)  Direction and choreography by Danny Herman and Rocker Verastique, musical mirection by Jonathan Borden.

Auditioners are asked to email their name and telephone number to: auditions@thegeorgetownpalace.org to sign up for an audition time.  All types, ethnicities and sizes are encouraged to audition.  Bring a head shot (picture of yourself, mostly just face) and theatrical resume with you to the auditions.  Saturday's audition is DANCE only.  Come ready to move.  Callbacks (which are by invitation only) will be held Sunday, June 10th, starting at 6:00 pm, and will consist of readings from the script, and singing. 

A Chorus Line Georgetown Palace Theatre TXFor the callbacks, please prepare 32 bars of a song from a musical that demonstrates your range.  An accompanist will be provided, please bring a copy of your sheet music. Songs from the show are welcome as audition pieces, as well as any other stylistically appropriate tunes. You may also bring your own accompaniment on CD.  However, please make sure there are no recorded vocals.  You may NOT sing a cappella. You can save time on the audition days by bringing your conflict calendar with you. **It is critical that you let us know all of your conflicts at the auditions. We will be unable to accept conflicts brought to us after casting is done.

The production runs Aug 10 - Sep 9, 2012. Performances will be at the Georgetown Palace Theatre Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 pm, and Sundays at 2 pm. All rehearsals and performances will be held at the Palace Theater. 

REHEARSALS will generally be held Monday through Thursday, from 7-10 pm, and Saturdays from 1-5 pm. However, it's possible that we will schedule rehearsals on some Sundays as well so we are asking for everyone's availability for the possible alternative times up front.

The Georgetown Palace Theatre is a 501(c)3 non-profit community theater and does not offer any financial compensation to actors.
