WHAT IS THE AESTHETIC OF WEEKEND, YOU ASK?

WHY, I’M ACTUALLY QUITE GLAD YOU ASKED.

John Clancy's Fatboy- A dizzying celebration of consumption, greed, and violence, John Clancy's Fatboy follows two married horrendous monsters from petty crimes to global destruction in their pursuit of all-encompassing satisfaction. Ever-hungry narcissists, Fatboy and his wife, Fudgie, (played by Sam Weiner and Abigail Entsminger) shout and murder their way through the problems of life. Fatboy plays like a Punch & Judy show with physical brutality, sexual depravity and cursing. Expect to learn something about your own desires and the seemingly-innocent stares of your neighbors and friends.

An Afternoon with Internationally-Renowned Artist, Hilda Kinder- Art patrons, art lovers and the merely curious, we invite you to experience the work of Hilda Kinder from a personal side. Kinder, who rarely makes public appearances, will be available for conversation on Feb 18th at 2pm for the gallery opening of her new, never before seen, (as of yet, untitled) collection of art works. Kinder will give an in-depth and ultra-personal look into her creative process, leading to a reception with drinks and questions. Her past works touch on the difficulties of asserting one's self identity in the liminal space between East and West relations, which are mediated by hyper-real images of idealized cultural norms. This is especially prevalent in, what many in the international art community consider her magnum opus, Untitled 2 (To My (non) American Mother(s)). The Aesthetic of Waste hopes you are able to join us at the Overtime for this very unique and chance event.

The Artist is Drunk- Stick around after the show for a chance to silently meet the artist known as the Aesthetic of Waste on a one-on-one basis. What will you see in their eyes and what will they see in yours?
