The Story Wranglers is a creative writing and performance program of the Paramount Theatre in which teaching artists go into 3rd grade classrooms and teach students the fundamentals of creative writing. After the program is finished, we take all the student’s stories and give them to professional actors and musicians to transform them into a musical/comedy/variety show.This is where you come in. We are seeking Music Directors for our spring shows. Your duties would include: attending all rehearsals, writing and performing songs based on children’s stories, accompanying the skits in the show with music and attending the show. Reliable transportation is a must. Musical improvisation skills are strongly preferred.
There are 3 shows this spring ranging from March to May and rehearsal periods are fairly short. You will be compensated for your work.
