Come audition to be part of the cast of this summer's show, which is entitled, The Curious Case of Rumpelstiltskin. Auditions will be held on Saturday, May 7th from 12 PM to 4 PM at the George Washington Carver Museum, 1155 Angelina Street (click for map).
The auditions will consist of some script reading, choreographed steps, and singing. The Artistic Director asks that you prepare a 1-2 minute presentation that shows your theatrical talents at their best. There will be a couple of scripts to read if you choose not to bring your own. The Choreographer will teach, and have you perform, a small routine. The Music Director will have you sing a song of your choice. You can sing a song that is provided by the group or bring one of your own. The music should be a Broadway or pop style. There will be an accompanist available.
The Austin Summer Musical for Children has been performing free summer musical theater for over 20 years. We have been entertaining delighted children and their families with familiar stories, catchy music, lively choreography, and colorful costumes.
