Ti Jean is a theatrical adaptation (in verse) of a West Indian folktale. Three brothers are challenged by the Devil to make him feel human emotion—anger, rage, weakness, etc. Success means riches and happiness but failure means devilish torment in the ultimate game of high stakes! Each tries, but only one can succeed. This spectacular work is a fable with music; a political allegory and a morality play written in the late 50’s and never before produced in Texas. The play will be directed by ACC Professor of Drama Marcus McQuirter.
