Auditions in Lakeway for the musical 9 to 5, Lakeway Players,

Lakeway Players auditions at the Lakeway Activity Center on Tuesday, August 30, from 6 - 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, September 4, from 3 to 5 p.m. for the very popular production, 9-5: The Musical. This is a stage musical with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and based on a book and screenplay by Patricia Resnick for the 1980 movie. This four-time Tony nominated play has been chosen for the Players' fall production, which will run November l, 2, and 3.

After the conclusion of the movie, which was her first movie role, Miss Parton decided to turn it into a musical, and for this adaptation, she wrote fifteen additional songs and modified the script slightly to accommodate them. After its Los Angeles opening in 2008 and the New York opening in 2009, it is now on National Tour.

There are named parts for four females and four males, plus a number of chorus parts.
