The Georgetown Palace Theatre, Inc. in Georgetown, Texas, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, seeks a dynamic and vibrant individual to join us as the theater matures into its next stage of growth and development.

The Palace is a beautifully restored historic theater located in the heart of downtown Georgetown, an integral part of the award-winning courthouse square. Bringing local, regional, and national entertainment to Georgetown and its surrounding communities, the Palace produces approximately 8-10 musical/straight plays a year, plus some special events. The Palace’s annual budget is between $500,000– 900,000 and is home to an approximately 300-seat theater, rehearsal stage, set design facility, and education center. The Palace is looking for a self-motivated, vibrant executive director to assume leadership of the day-to-day administrative operations of the Palace, oversight of the Palace budget and of the strategic plan, and the raising of the revenues necessary to assure a sound financial base. For the first year, the Executive Director will need to focus primarily on raising new sources of revenue while increasing the Palace’s existing sources of revenue. The Executive Director will be the primary advocate for the Palace in the community and region. The Executive Director will develop methods and systems to provide for corporate giving, estate gifts, annuities and trust funds, as well as all other methods of support for the Palace. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years experience in strategic planning, financial management, staff/board development, and a proven track record in seeking earned and contributed revenues (including season tickets, corporate sponsorship, government and foundation grants, individual contributions, and special events). A degree in business management or related field is mandatory. Strong leadership abilities and demonstrated experience plus organizational and planning skills are a must. Experience in non-profit fiscal management and fundraising is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a passion for and an understanding of the performing arts and have experience in marketing and promoting special events.
