Casting Call for short play for FronteraFest, auditioning November 8

Auditions Austin Live Theatre TXCasting for a short play that will be performed early January for Frontera Fest Short Fringe. Rehearsals will start the week of Nov. 19th, Nov. 26th, or the first week of December. Actual rehearsal times and days will depend on actor availability. Since this is a short play (no longer than 25 minutes), I don't plan on having more than two rehearsals a week until perhaps the week before performance.

Synopsis: A young woman runs into her ex-boyfriend from college who is now living on the streets. She invites him into her and her current boyfriend's home despite her boyfriend's disapproval.

Character breakdown:

Brett: the boyfriend. Mid to late 20's, any ethnicity
Jamie: the girlfriend. Mid to late 20's, any ethnicity
Anthony: the homeless ex. Mid to late 20's, any ethnicity

Auditions
will be held at the Dougherty Arts center from 6 -9 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8, maybe with possible additional auditions for those who can't make Thursday. Acting experience is not necessary, but please send a head shot and resume to davidp.nguyen@yahoo.com if you have it. Also specify what time would best work for you for the audition. I know it's hard to plan this far ahead, but try to be prepared to list potential conflicts during the months of November, December, and the first half of January. Sides will be provided. Please let me know if there are any other questions. Thank you.
