Announcing open auditions for The Sunset Limited by Cormac McCarthy, produced by Trinity Street Players in downtown Austin, directed by Patrick Torres:901 Trinity Street, First Baptist Church, 4th floor Blackbox Theatre,Thursday, May 23rd @ 7:30pm, Callbacks will be on Saturday (if necessary)
Auditions will be for 2 male actors:
- Black (early 50s – late 60s, African American) – Black is an ex-convict and evangelical Christian.
- White (late 40s – mid 60s, Caucasian) – White is a professor and an atheist.
Actors should come prepared for cold-readings.
Trinity Street Players is excited to announce auditions for its next production, Cormac McCarthy’s The Sunset Limited. The Sunset Limited features two nameless men, referred to by their respective skin color. Prior to the play’s beginning, “Black” saves “White” from jumping in front of a passenger train. All action takes place in Black’s apartment, where the two men debate the significance of suffering, the existence of God, and White’s insistence to commit suicide.
