Synopsis: Mr. Potcher, a school consultant, eliminates all classes in the arts and all extracurricular activities for the sake the improving children's education. When a young student named Darcy tries to persuade Mr. Potcher to reinstate these activities, he not only remains unconvinced, he decides also to do away with all the holidays -- actually eliminate them from existence. The iconic holiday characters (Santa, Easter Bunny, Cupid, Leprechaun, a jack-o'-lantern and a Thanksgiving turkey), conspire with Darcy to change Mr. Potcher's mind.

Bob Silberg's writing career spans genres from TV sitcoms to science writing for NASA. His credits include a public-service commercial featuring Mel Brooks which was honored by the Clio organization (advertising's Oscars) and a campaign for the Will Rogers Institute that won an Emmy from the New York chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. He also wrote a string of best-selling videos for CRM Films which received numerous honors, including the John Cleese Comedy Award. On the music front, he wrote lyrics for the CBS game show Musical Chairs and for the Climbing Higher series of children's stories, and was a lyricist in BMI's musical theater workshop in New York.
Barbara Klaskin Silberg, aka Mrs. Music, is the music director at UCLA's Neuropsychiatric Hospital, where she brightens the lives of pediatric and adolescent inpatients. She is also director of the West Los Angeles Children's Choir, which was chosen to sing backup for Michael Jackson before his untimely death and has recently been tapped to back up The Black Eyed Peas, Panic at the Disco, and Train among other bands. Barb's choir is slated to perform at an international concert for peace this year in Beijing, where they'll sing two songs written by the Silbergs. Barb and Bob's songs have been performed at the Hollywood Bowl, licensed by the Kid Genius record label, and featured on a website of patriotic music sponsored by the National Institute of Health. Mr. Potcher's Holiday is their first theatrical musical.
