About Leela - An Indian Community Theatre: Leela provides a creative space for the Indian diaspora to explore and give voice to themes from the heritage of India. Leela, translates to the Cosmic Play of Consciousness, and finds its roots in the ancient Indian scriptures that describe the Universe as a Divine Play. The Divine creates freely, merely for the joy of it, and out of spontaneous creativity. The heart of Leela’s purpose is to provide an avenue for individuals to explore and express their creativity through collaborative theatre productions, workshops and play readings, and to evolve to their highest potential.
About LuckyChaos Theater Projects: LuckyChaos Theater Projects produce works by or about Asian Americans as well as other under-represented communities. We hope to increase dialogue about these experiences through the performance arts. Our projects are stories from a different point of view and range from published works to original works including submissions from the community. We explore all mediums including scripted, experimental, improv and movement.
