Using Paganini’s 24 Caprices for Violin as a haunting background, this play traces the grotesque and satirical adventures of Paganini as he plays throughout Europe, living the century’s equivalent to a rock star. Leaving a trail of seduced women, enraged fathers and creditors, and evading arrest for reported murder, Paganini probes the consequences of art and the nature of salvation for the artist.
