This is it, Austin - the final opportunity to experience the Hip-Hop Theater Explosion hosted by Zell Miller, III. Featuring some of the best spoken-word artists, dancers, and emcees to be produced in Central Texas, the final installment runs May 5th through 7th atthe VORTEX Repertory Theatre.

Presented by UpRise! Productions and The VORTEX Theatre, Hip-Hop Theater Explosion began in 2008, and has presented some of the best new hip-hop poetry, dance, music, and theater in Austin. Having launched the work of dozens of young artists and showcased the work of star performers during the past three years, the series will be ending this May, as creator Zell Miller, III, turns his attentions to other projects, according to VORTEX Theatre director Bonnie Cullum.

The final installment of Hip-Hop Theater Explosion features Outta Kontrol, dancers from Tapestry Dance Company, Cipher, DaShade Moonbeam, Ebony Stewart, Mike Whalen, and the return of the original Public Offenders. In addition, DJ S.T.A.T.I.K. provides music for the performances.
