The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Local 205 is celebrating 100 years of service to the Austin theatre community at the Paramount Theatre this Friday 15th July.

“Celebrating 100 years of service is a milestone in itself,” said Rachel Magee, President IATSE Local 205, “but we are equally proud to be celebrating 100 years of unionism. Unionism is essentially about democracy and equality. Every member has equal say in work related matters that affect their lives. And our negotiations for safe and fair working conditions help establish standards within our industry that are enjoyed by both union and non-union workers alike.”
