produced by The Polish Thespian Project and is part of City Theatre's

ReplyDeleteLooking for a summer job? Our next big audition/technical interview session is this FRIDAY, MAY 11, 2012 (applicants must attend the audition/interview to be considered).
Audition Location: SeaWorld San Antonio Team Member Entrance on Military Drive West between Highway 151 and Loop 1604. Register at Human Resources
Although we see all talent/technicians during these auditions, we are especially looking for the following:
Performer I (Actor) – interested applicants will apply for Performer III and will be considered for a Performer I at the audition –Position is open May 7-11, 2012 (applicants must attend the audition on May 11, 2012 – see Audition Website or attached Audition Poster for preparation information)
Performer II (Costumed Character Dancer) – interested applicants will apply for Performer III and will be considered for a Performer II at the audition – We are interested in all talent, but especially looking for applicants 4’11” to 5’1” and 5’6” to 6’2” – Position is open May 7-11, 2012 (applicants must attend the audition on May 11, 2012 – see Audition Website or attached Audition Poster for preparation information)
Performer III (Walk Around Costumed Character) – interested applicants will apply for Performer III – We are interested in all talent, but especially looking for applicants 4’11” to 5’1” and 5’6” to 6’2” – Position open May 7-11, 2012 (applicants must attend the audition on May 11, 2012 – see Audition Website or attached Audition Poster for preparation information)

Assistant Area Supervisor (Costume Show) SeaWorld San Antonio Starting pay $13.24 per hour - Full Time
ReplyDeletePrimary Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to supervise the daily operations of the costume shop. Assisting in research & development of new show product, patterning & construction, staff development and inventory control. This position interfaces with numerous departments while supporting park wide costuming needs.
Qualifications:
Two (2) years of professional experience as an Assistant Costume Designer or Assistant Costume Shop Supervisor or equivalent Supervisory experience required.
Advanced knowledge of costume design, flat patterning, draping, cutting, construction, fashion trends, fabrics, accessories, hair/wig use, drafting, textiles and garment construction.
Must be able to read and analyze a script, flesh out design concepts and work closely with the producer, director and designers while ensuring design concepts are achieved.
Must have strong time management and supervisory skills
Must possess excellent research skills
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, weekdays, evening, and holidays.
Must be able to multitask while maintaining a positive attitude to ensure excellent guest service.
Must be willing to comply with all grooming standards and SEA standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages the operation of the Costume Shop and production of new costumes
Training and supervision of the costume and dresser crews; prioritizes the costume shop work according to the production schedule.
Deployment, installation and supervision of costume plots for all Entertainment related events.
Management of all costume equipment and hardware including S.O.P.s, maintenance, safety and compliance; maintains general Costume Shop materials, supplies and equipment
Drafting and paperwork services including inventory, daily schedules and equipment.
Ability to construct and make alterations as needed.
Oversee safety as it pertains to SEA Best Practices and all other relevant industry guidelines.
Consistently practices safe work habits including but not limited to use of personal protective equipment, lifting, driving, and reporting of unsafe situations.
Consistently demonstrates courteous and professional behavior in all work aspects with all team members and guests.
Works as part of a team to increase productivity and while providing excellent guest service.
