Auditions for The Little Dog Laughed by Douglas Carter Beane , Directed by Tim Hedgepeth, May 28, 7:00 p.m. at
San Pedro Playhouse Cellar Theater, 800 West Ashby at San Pedro Avenue
(click for map). Arrive early to register. Doors will open at 6:30
p.m. and close at 7:30 p.m. Actors should prepare a 1-minute
monologue from a contemporary comedy. Actors called back will
be asked to read from the script. 
Characters
(All roles available): Diane: mid 30s-mid 40s; Mitchell: late 20s -
30s; Alex: early 20s; Ellen: early 20s. *Please note that nudity will be
required for the roles of Alex and Mitchell.*The Little Dog Laughed is an award-winning comedy of manners by Douglas Carter Beane (As Bees in Honey Drown, To Wong Foo...) that follows the adventures of Mitchell Green, a movie star who could hit big if it weren't for one teensy-weensy problem. His agent, Diane, can't seem to keep him in the closet. Trying to help him navigate Hollywood's choppy waters, the devilish Diane is doing all she can to keep Mitchell away from Alex, the cute rent boy who's caught his eye (and Ellen, the rent boy's girlfriend) .
Production Dates June 8-July 8; Fridays & Saturdays at 8:00 p.m.; Sundays at 2:30 p.m.. No performance June 10.
