Bring the family to Pioneer Farms this holiday season for a most unusual event, “Ebenezer’s Journey”.

Watch the village come to life with vendors, carollers and colorful characters that step out of history. Then experience the classic Dickens tale, “A Christmas Carol”, like never before as our actors take you into the story with an interactive theatrical presentation staged in the old buildings of Pioneer Farms.

Bob Cratchitt, Tiny Tim and the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future will come to life as you witness the joys the sorrows and the chills of the unforgettable experience. Of course, you have an important role to play as well… for you are Ebenezer Scrooge!

Come and be transformed and celebrate the true meaning of the season. Performances are December 7-8 and 14-15 beginning at 7:00 PM.   Departures every ten minutes from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m..

Upcoming: Bah, Humbug! A One-Man Version of Dickens' Christmas Carol, Dougherty Arts Center, December 22


The Company Theatre is gearing up for its sixth annual Christmas tour of Bah, Humbug throughout the state of Texas.

Award-winning actor and Artistic Director of The Company, Damian Gillen, presents his unique, one-man adaptation of Dickens classic A Christmas Carol during a 10-city statewide tour, which includes a December 22 performance at Austin's Dougherty Arts Center.


Bah, Humbug
is an imaginative adaptation of Charles Dickens’ tale of hope and compassion, but it has a unique twist. Gillen plays all the roles in this theatrical extravaganza that chronicles the story of the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge, who is challenged to open his heart after being confronted by three spirits during a one-night whirlwind journey of redemption. The play is supported by numerous costume changes, special effects and traditional Celtic Christmas tunes.
