Kings, queens, knights and... dragons?!? Join Campus Events + Entertainment Creative Arts + Theatre for Madrigal Dinner 2013, a grand Renaissance-themed dinner theatre experience in the Texas Union Ballroom on the UT Austin campus! Enjoy an original comedic play, choir concert, and a four-course meal, all for the price of entry.

Madrigal Dinner will be held on the nights of Thursday, Friday and Saturday, November 21st, November 22nd and November 23rd, 2013. A cash bar will be available starting at 5:30 pm. Show starts at 6:30 pm.


General Public Tickets: $32, $30, and $28 -- Discounted UT Austin Student Tickets: $18, $16, and $14. You must present your current University of Texas at Austin STUDENT I.D. at the door to enter with a discounted student ticket.

Tapestry Dance Company, North America’s only professional repertory tap dance company presents its annual festival of rhythm with the 13th Annual Soul to Sole Festival June 12-16 with master classes, showcases and two performances at Rollins Studio Theatre at The Long Center for the Performing Arts, 701 W. Riverside Drive.

A celebration of a true indigenous American art form, and one of the most esteemed tap festivals in the world, Soul to Sole brings tap dancers from across the country to Austin, the headquarters of the International Tap Association.

The festival is all-encompassing with over 75 master classes taught by world-renowned dancers, five choreography courses, tap jams, and panel discussions. It also includes a participant showcase anchored by members of Tapestry Dance Company and a world-class faculty concert at the Rollins Studio Theatre at The Long Center.

This year’s incredible faculty of critically acclaimed talent includes Sarah Petronio (Paris), Tapestry’s Acia Gray, Dormeshia Sumbry-­Edwards and Nicholas Young (NYC), Jay Fagan (Chicago), Katherine Kramer (Rhythm Explosion), Travis Knights (Tap Dogs & Tapestry Dance Company), Barbara Phillips (San Antonio’s Third Coast Rhythm Project), Tapestry’s own Matt Shields and LeeLa Petronio of France’s HipTap Project along with the Souls of Our Feet Jazz Trio led by pianist Eddy Hobizal.

Upcoming: Coming Home for Christmas with Courtney Sanchez and Matt Wilson, Tex-Arts Cabaret Concerts, December 21 and 22

The TexARTS Cabaret Series will feature a starry line up of some of Austin's most dynamic voices in our intimate Kam and James Morris Theatre. Courtney Sanchez and Matt Wilson will kick off the series with the holiday-themed cabaret COMING HOME FOR CHRISTMAS.

Known as one of Austin's top vocalists, Courtney Sanchez has made a name for herself as a solo artist, the female lead singer of the band The Atlantics and as an actress in countless Austin productions such as RENT, DREAMGIRLS and PORGY & BESS. Matt Wilson gained national exposure wowing sold-out audiences as the "Piano Man" in the First National Tour of the Billy Joel and Twyla Tharp's Tony-award winning musical "MOVIN' OUT." Matt returned to TexARTS after spending several years headlining our New Year's Eve Galas.

Joining Courtney and Matt will be a lineup of Austin favorites including: Dewy Brooks, Jacqui Cross (BEEHIVE), Tim Curry, Felicia Dinwiddie (RAGTIME), Paul Sanchez, Rod Sanford (RAGTIME) and Janis Stinson (HAIRSPRAY).
