Received directly from Overtime Theatre, San Antonio:
As a holiday offering to the entire theater community,
An Actor's Christmas Carol
will be presented at a reduced price for everyone who worked on a local stage show in 2009!
All local cast and crew members from any production in the past year can see "An Actor's Christmas Carol" at the Overtime Theater for only $8 - a 33% discount from the regular $12 ticket price. Just bring a playbill or program with your name in it. There are four more shows this weekend: 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 3 p.m. Sunday.
Also, the previous offer still stands for all other Christmas Carolers! Cast and crew from other stage versions of the Dickens' tale can get into the show for only $5! Just bring a program with your name in it.
An Actor's Christmas Carol: A Holiday Panto? is the Overtime Theater's first mainstage show in its new location at the Blue Star. This locally-set satire of the holiday classic was written by Scott McDowell (Pirates vs. Ninjas: The Musical) and directed by Roy Thomas (Rocky Horror Picture Show). The show is stuffed full of pop culture references and tongue-in-cheek jokes and songs about community theater, making it the perfect show for theater folk! Where else can you see a death scene featuring a Glo...er, Sphere Award?
Showtimes: Dec. 17-20, 8 pm Thursdays-Saturdays and 3 pm on Sundays. BYOB! Drinks and refreshments also available by donation.
Location: The Overtime Theater, in the Blue Star Arts Complex, 1414 S. Alamo, Suite 103, San Antonio TX 78210
