Alice, the new girl in school, has minutes to learn a poem for her first assignment in drama class. Alice not only stumbles her way through the verses, but into a fantastic Wonderland. With the help from the caterpillar, the Mad Hatter, the Tweedle twins, and other Wonderland favorites, they help Alice learn her lines and and make new friends. Join Austin Summer Musical for Children's retelling of the classic tale, "Alice in Wonderland."

There once was a strange little man with a hard to remember name and a knack for turning straw into gold. Years after trying to take the queen's child, Rumpelstiltskin has served his time and completed his punishment. But, is he a changed man?

Rumpelstiltskin is trying to prove that he is a legitimate business man. Things aren't going too well for this shrewed salesman. When he sells straw and sticks to the pigs as house building material, trades Jack's cow for a few magic beans, and sells the Emperor's tailors some fabric like they've never seen, the people of Fairytale land want justice! Abuelita de Batman is a dark-humored contemporary play comprised of five stories, each about one couple, that highlight the different dynamics of interpersonal relationships while exposing issues we often try to cover but cannot hide. Although four out of the five stories involve couples and cynical relationships, love comes in at the very end of this production.

Audience members will get to peek into the lives of a cheating politician, a scorned fugitive, a cynical doctor, an AIDS-infected transvestite, and a high-class open marriage. The situations presented might be hard to grasp at first due to their resemblance to actuality and the truth that can be found within the lines, but as a result, Proyecto Teatro's Abuelita de Batman ends up being a clear satire of our present society.
