CHAOTIC THEATRE AUDITIONS: ART OF MURDER by Joe DiPietro

Chaotic is tickled-to-death to announce our next production, Art of Murder, by Joe DiPietro. Directed by James Jackson Leach. Seeking two men, two women.

Audition Time/Location: Thursday, March 22nd, 2012, 7-9 pm, 501 Studios. 501 N. I-35, 78702. (the Limestone building at 5th & I-35. Entrance faces the highway) and Friday, March 23rd, 2012, 7-9 pm, also at 501 Studios. (click for map) Call Backs will be Saturday March 24th, 11-1 pm, Dougherty Arts Center, 1110 Barton Springs Rd. Characters:

Jack Brooks – (Male) a renowned artist, ruggedly handsome, late 20’s early - mid 30’s.

Annie Brooks – (Female) his wife. Younger than Jack, Late 20’s early 30’s.

Vincent Cummings – (Male) a high-powered, flamboyant art dealer, mid 30’s early 40’s.

Kate – (Female) an Irish immigrant. The Brooks’ maid, 20’s.

Please prepare a dramatic monologue of no more than 1 minute. Bring a theatrical resume and a headshot (if available). Please bring your anticipated schedule through to June 2^nd, 2012. No appointment necessary.

Production runs May 17^th, 2012 through June 2^nd,2012 at The Vortex. Rehearsals begin April 2^nd, and will continue Sundays – Wednesdays 7 - 10 p.m.

From the twisted mind of the Chaotic Theatre Company, comes Alice!, a story about a young girl’s descent into madness. Along this journey she meets characters with sinister smiles and outrageous personalities in the world premiere of this new play by James Jackson Leach, based on the eccentric tales of Lewis Carroll.

Throughout the show you will experience interactions like nothing you have ever seen before. Menacing laughter will fill your ears and engulf your mind. You will be torn between two worlds: the harsh reality of Blackthorn Asylum and the fantastical world of Wonderland.

The VORTEX Café is now serving fabulous sandwiches, tamales, cake and ice cream, in addition to our exceptional assortment of beer and wine and homemade sangria. Come early, stay late.
