Howdy!

I am directing my adaptation of 'Little Red Riding Hood'.

If you are interested in doing paid, interactive children's theatre. Please sign up by emailing me at dhthompson1979@gmail.com

I ask that you prepare a 1 minute monologue. Something fun. Please.

Show dates: April 27,28,30 and May 4,5,9,11,12,18,19 -- Saturdays @10am. Sundays @2pm.
The shows run about 45 minutes. Autographs and pictures with the kids after every show!
(There will also be 2 weekday school shows @10am. Dates TBA.)

Join Emmy- Award- nominated "Sesame Street" performer Leslie Carrara- Rudolph, for Wake up Your Weird!, a whimsical live theatrical experience. Told ina two-act show and tell, this family-friendly show addresses bullying and selfesteem issues while giving children the tools to navigate life creatively.

Wake Up Your Weird! is an energetic, hilarious show full of original songs, video shorts, puppetry, pink monkeys, and a Sasquatch followed by an interactive joy ride where you get to move, sing, and laugh your way through more of Leslieʼs stories and songs.

The first act tells the story of the puppet Lolly and the bullies, and the second act is an interactive workshop where Leslie and Lolly work with the kids on how to navigate through these situations. Wake Up Your Weird aligns with AISDʼs No Place for Hate initiative, and is appropriate for ages 6 and up.

The show will continue on the first Saturday of the month until August (April 6, May 4, June 1, July 6, and August 3.)

How can someone convey the experience of living with depression and do it in a way that is both easy to understand and entertaining? Leng Wong, producing director of Lucky Chaos Theater, set out to do just that with Normal Like Us! The Depression Chronicles. The show is a collaborative, experimental production of performers with first-hand experience. It combines humor, music, and drama to present the realities of life with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and other mental health conditions.

How can someone convey the experience of living with depression and do it in a way that is both easy to understand and entertaining? Leng Wong, producing director of Lucky Chaos Theater, set out to do just that with Normal Like Us! The Depression Chronicles. The show is a collaborative, experimental production of performers with first-hand experience. It combines humor, music, and drama to present the realities of life with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and other mental health conditions.

The performers in this ensemble-based work offer views from the inside. Most cast members are Austin artists who perform regularly and are trained in voice, theater, and improvisation. Some cast members are not trained performers, and will be appearing on stage for the first time to share their experiences. The vignettes use music, humor and drama to illustrate their personal perspective of the subject. The show includes an original mini-musical written by Austin musicians/songwriters Jeff Luna and Eddie Lehwald. Live accompaniment by Eddie!
