General Auditions for 2011-2012 Season

Monday, July 18, 6:30 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Who: Children age 7-17

What to bring:

· A picture and resume (if you have one)

· A 1min monologue or nursery rhyme

· 16 bars of a song or you can sing Happy Birthday

Tuition cost for the year can be found on our website at www.buzzproductions.weebly.com , some scholarships are available.

Buzz Productions is a team of professionals dedicated to producing a higher level of performing arts programming for young actors. Our productions are open to all children ages 7 -18, who normally would not have the opportunity to be involved in musical theater due to either their school environment, social environment, and/or academic challenges. We strive to provide quality theater performances to you: our audience, donors and supporters.

Auditions for Summer Teen Shakespeare: Troilus and Cressida with Austin Shakespeare

Auditions for Summer's Young Shakespeare to take place March 26 & April 9

Students ages 12 - 19 are encouraged to audition for Young Shakespeare, our program for teens. Now in its third year, Young Shakespeare will allow students to audition, rehearse and perform in a professionally directed and staged production of Shakespeare'sTroilus and Cressida at The Curtain Theatre, Austin's replica of an Elizabethan theatre. Auditions are March 26 & April 9, 10 am - noon at the Carriage House on the campus of St. Edward's University.

Students must schedule an audition by contacting youngshakespeare@austinshakespeare.org. Rehearsals begin late May and are evenings and weekends. Performance dates are June 23 - July 3.
