Volunteer Positions for Zilker Theatre Production’s musical of Little Shop of Horrors

Please contact Zilker theatre productions at info@zilker.org or call us at 512-479-9491 for more information. The following is a list of volunteer opportunities. For more information about our organization, please visit www.zilker.org

Stage Crew Volunteers Stage Crew responsibilities may include setting up the stage, placing/striking the sets and props for the show. The crew also assists the actors with moving sets and props during the show’s scene changes. Some lifting may be required; however we can accommodate your needs. Call times usually start around 6:30. (Times will be arranged with the Stage managers) Training will be provided. We would need people starting June 27 – August 17, 6:30 – 11:00pm. We are flexible if people need to have certain nights off or can only work part of the summer.

Front of House Volunteers House Managing Crew is responsible for assisting the house manager with stuffing programs, handing out programs and welcoming patrons to the hillside. This crew will also assist the Concessions people with set up. This volunteer position is not required to be there the whole evening. We would need people July 12 – August 17, 6:30 – 10:30pm (every Thursday thru Sunday). We are flexible if people need to have certain nights or weekends off or only want to do part of the summer.

It's been a year of hard work and planning and we are thrilled to bring this iconic and treasured musical to The Hillside for the 54th Annual Zilker Summer Musical. The cast and crew of The Sound of Music will be moving out to The Hillside in just a few days for their final rehearsals, and the excitement is building as we move closer to Opening Night!

When Ren and his mother move from Chicago to a small farming town, he is prepared for the inevitable adjustment period at his new high school. But, what he isn't prepared for is the town's ban on dancing... instituted by the local preacher. When the reverend's rebellious daughter sets her sights on Ren, her roughneck boyfriend tries to sabotage Ren's reputation, and many of the locals are more than eager to believe the worst about the new kid.

The heartfelt story that emerges centers on a father longing for the son he lost, a young man aching for the father who walked out on him, and celebrates the wisdom of listening to young people... with a warm heart and an open mind.

Footloose: The Musical boasts a Tony-nominated score augmented with the rockin' rhythms of the hit songs from the movie, including:
