Please prepare a one minute memorized verse monologue for the audition. Sides will be provided for callbacks. We will be working with the new Arden edition of the play, but for reference, a decent electronic version of the play is here:

The doubling scheme we're using means that all actors except those playing the leads Giovanni and Annabella will be playing at least two roles. All roles currently open. Character descriptions and doubling scheme (tentative and subject to change) are listed below. The show will run Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings from June 22 - July 15 (no Sunday show the first weekend). Rehearsals will begin in mid-May.
'Tis Pity is a dark show that makes its audiences question their perceptions of morality, social propriety, religion, and taboo. The plays deals directly with themes of incest and violence. Actors should be prepared to delve into the material. For those auditioning for the Hidden Room's ROSE RAGE: our production schedules may allow for some actors to do both shows. This will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
